The 43rd ASEAN Summit held in Jakarta Indonesi On the occasion, President Jokowi emphasized the importance of ASEAN solidarity and stability in the region to face global challenges and to realize ASEAN as the epicentrum of growth. Particularly, President Jokowi also higlight the importance of the implementation of Five Point Consensus to resolve Myanmar conflicts. “We hope that issues in Myanmar can be resolved immediately since it is related to humanity and the people of Myanmar. In fact, the issues are very complicated, not only involve one or two parties but three, four, or five parties. Therefore it takes time. It can only be resolved once all stakeholders in the country have common will to resolve it, otherwise it will be very hard,” he said.
