This award is given to him for his gesture of refusing to take a single in the high-pressure 2021 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Semi-Finals against England as he felt he had “obstructed” the way of bowler Adil Rashid at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. He has become the 4th New Zealand player to win the award after Daniel Vettori, Brendon McCullum, and Kane Williamson.

Therefore, scientists at the Suzhou Institute of Biomedical Engineering and Technology in eastern China’s Jiangsu Province, developed robots to perform tasks, such as observing, documenting, and manually adjusting carbon dioxide, nutrients, and more in embryos.

use of tobacco in all forms – including smokeless and other newer products. The app, the first such by WHO, and the first that targets all forms of tobacco, helps users to identify the triggers, set their targets, manage cravings, and stay focused to quit tobacco. Tobacco is the world’s leading cause of preventable death and kills nearly 8 million persons every year. It claims 1.6 million lives in the WHO South-East Asia Region which is amongst the largest producers and consumers of tobacco products
Dubai firm, THE JET ZeroEmission announced the launch of the World’s first hydrogen-powered flying boat ‘THE JET’ in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. ‘THE JET’ features cutting-edge characteristics and technologies, making it capable of flying in silence over the waters at a cruising speed of 40 knots and also has a capacity of carrying 8-12 passengers.
A study was conducted jointly by 100 scientists across the world and it found out that the total number of tree species on Earth is 73,000. It also highlights that 9,200 tree species have remained mysterious and undiscovered. South America has likely more undiscovered tree species than others at about 40%. As per the estimates, 43 percent of all Earth’s tree species occur in South America, followed by Eurasia (22 percent), Africa (16 percent).
US President Joe Biden announce a relaunch of the “Cancer Moonshot” program started during the Obama administration. The program was launched with the goal of ending Cancer that kills more than 600,000 people a year in the U.S. The revamped initiative aims to reduce the death rate from cancer by at least 50 percent over the next 25 years. The President also announced a campaign to get more people screened for cancer.

NASA’s ‘Oceans Melting Greenland airborne mission’ has found that Greenland’s glaciers that empty into the ocean, such as Apusiaajik Glacier, are at greater risk of rapid ice loss. It revealed that ice loss from Greenland’s ice sheet contributes more to the global rise of the oceans than any other single source. If all of Greenland’s ice sheets were to melt, global sea levels would rise by about 24 feet (7.4 meters).
