Saudi Arabia has announced to contribute 2.5 billion dollars to the Middle East green initiative over the next 10 years. Addressing the second Middle East Green Initiative Summit in Sharm el-Sheikh, Saudi crown prince Muhammad Bin Salman said the kingdom’s Public Investment Fund would aim for net-zero emissions by 2050. He underlined the need for continued regional cooperation and active contributions by member countries to achieve global climate goals and accelerate the implementation commitments as part of international agreements. Switzerland has launched the world’s longest passenger train with 100 coaches, and 4,550 seats, measuring 1910 meters. Rhaetian Railway, a Swiss transport company, has set a world record for the longest passenger train, to celebrate the 175th anniversary of Switzerland’s first railway. The record-breaking train was formed of 25 new ‘Capricorn’ electric trains, which passed through the landscape in the Swiss Alps.
