Switzerland has launched the world’s longest passenger train with 100 coaches, and 4,550 seats, measuring 1910 meters. Rhaetian Railway, a Swiss transport company, has set a world record for the longest passenger train, to celebrate the 175th anniversary of Switzerland’s first railway. The record-breaking train was formed of 25 new ‘Capricorn’ electric trains, which passed through the landscape in the Swiss Alps.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved Ixchiq, the first chikungunya vaccine. Ixchiq is approved for individuals 18 years of age and older who are at increased risk of exposure to chikungunya virus. The chikungunya virus is primarily transmitted to people through the bite of an infected mosquito. Chikungunya is an emerging global health threat with at least 5 million cases of chikungunya virus infection reported during the past 15 years.
